M/S S. S. Enterprises (Prop. Mrs Sumita Sarkar) got the loan through bank through offline mode. The Bank respond to her project postively and sanctioned loan to her under Stand Up India scheme. The unit is engaged in Trading of Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Items. Initially there was problems for Marketing of these products but with the help of local businessman, she overcome it. She has employed one person directly in her unit. The unit is doing financially well. The Turnover of the a/c is Rs. 33.77 lakh since opening and Profit is being made @ 2% to 3% of Turn Over.

Harnessing Portal Functionalities Mr. Biplab Das is from a needy family and has suffered a lot since his childhood. His father had a very small retail counter of selling daily essential commodities from home. Shri Das, due to poverty, negligence, could not complete his studies and started to assist his father. But, to have a permanent identity, he finally decided to establish a shop of retail selling of rice, dal, wheat, other stationery & grocery items in local area. He also wanted to sell rice, wheat etc. in wholesale. Luckily, he got a chance to purchase a shop of Municipality at RB Avenue, Bhadreswar, at a concessional rate. Then, he applied to Bank of India, Bhadreswar Branch, for financial assistance to start his new business of retail selling of grocery items. The Bank gave full support to him. Shri Das submitted his proposal & application for loan of Rs. 10.50 lakh (composite loan - Term Loan+ Cash Credit Loan). He brought in 25% of the project cost as margin for this loan. At first, the Bank helped Mr. Das to login on standupmitra portal for filling up online application on August 26, 2016.

When She heard about PM Stand up India scheme she approached the Chinhat branch of Bank Of India. The branch officials went through her project of restaurant and allied activities business and visited the site. The branch extended full co- operation to her and on 27-10-2016 her dream becomes true. She was Very thankful to the bank and Stand Up India Scheme. Today she is running successfully the restaurant in Lucknow.

She is permanent resident of Indore, presently residing at family owned house situated at 64, AM Sukhliya, Indore. She is an experienced and laborious entrepreneur and wants to set-up a unit for flex printing, lamination and vinyl printing at a rented premises situated at G-1 Manorama Apartment ,ED-62, Scheme no. 94, Ring Road,Indore. Mrs. Bharti Raghuwanshi wishes to set-up a unit of flex printing, lamination and vinyl printing and requires Term Loan for purchase of machines and other equipments and Working capital to run the business. Hence, she has approached us for sanction of limits under Stand up India as well as Govt. sponsored scheme Mukhya Mantri Yuwa Udhyami Yojna. Due to this she will be benefited with margin money facility also. Bank of India AB Road Indore is handholding the new entrepreneur and evaluate the possibility of the business and sanction a term loan of Rs.18.15 lakh and working capital of Rs.3.00 lakh on 28.09.2016 under SUI as well as MMYU. She started her business with the help of her husband Mr.Anil Raghuvanshi who is having good marketing experience . She deployed 8 persons directly and others as per requirement. Her firm having work orders from big houses like VOLTAS, Bata, hp, dwell. Lewis and Aashirwad pipes etc. She also get benefitted by the bank as she get 1% concession under Priyadarshini scheme. Presently she is running her business successfully. Entrepreneur contacted bank branch and they were give handholding support and accept their proposal in appositive manner. No such problems arise in the same. In this project direct employment given to 8 people and others indirect as per demand of work. Uniqueness of the project are hi-tech vinyl printing machineries with multi color printing work for the customers.

Ms. Manju Chandak alongwith her husband had approached Central Bank of India, Sausar for Stand up India loan for herself. The Bank Officials were very cooperative according to her. There was some margin money issue which was finally managed by some of her friends and relatives. Thus she was successfully disbursed SUI loan for Rs. 49.90 lakh for setting up her business activity as Bichhayat Kendre (providing Tent House and other equipments required for marriage and other functions). Subsequently, she has employed 5 women and 4 men to manage her business activity smoothly. Thus she has directly provided employment to them. She is also taking continued services for each function from many others like rickshaw puller, auto driver, carpenter, welding person, electrician etc. thus providing employment to them too. She is also planning to start a hotel in near future as Sausar has been identified for SEZ and it is learnt that many factories are likely to come up in the nearby area of AKVN Boregaon. She has expressed her gratitude towards the Union Govt. for coming up with Stand Up Scheme for upliftment and empowerment of women and also to Central Bank of India employees for their kind cooperation.

Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) was established in April 1990 under an Act of Indian Parliament as a wholly owned subsidiary of Industrial Development Bank of India. SIDBI has since completed 8 years of service to the small-scale sector. Principal Development Financial Institution for:

Co-ordinating the functions of other institutions engaged in similar activities.

Shareholding

The entire issued capital of Rs.450 crore has been divided into 45 crore shares of Rs.10 each. Of the total Rs.450 crore subscribed by IDBI, while setting up of SIDBI, 19.21% has been retained by it and balance 80.79% has been transferred / divested in favour of banks / institutions / insurance companies owned and controlled by the Central Government.

Objectives of SIDBI

Four basic objectives are set out in the SIDBI Charter. They are:

Co-ordination

For orderly growth of industry in the small-scale sector. The Charter has provided SIDBI considerable flexibility in adopting appropriate operational strategies to meet these objectives. The activities of SIDBI, as they have evolved over the period of time, now meet almost all the requirements of small scale industries which fall into a wide spectrum constituting modern and technologically superior units at one end and traditional units at the other.

To empower the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector with a view to contributing to the process of economic growth, employment generation and balanced regional development

To emerge as a single window for meeting the financial and developmental needs of the MSME sector to make it strong, vibrant and globally competitive, to position SIDBI Brand as the preferred and customer - friendly institution and for enhancement of share - holder wealth and highest corporate values through modern technology platform.
